Clinical formulation
63 year old woman with subacute isolated amnesia and sleep disturbance. The process is likely to localise to the limbic system and components of the Papez circuit. The situation is concerning for autoimmune or paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis. Prion disease is less likely but possible.
